NATALIE GRIFFITHS

2026 SFS Vice-President

Natalie is a Senior Research Staff Member in the Environmental Sciences Division at Oak Ridge National Laboratory in Oak Ridge, Tennessee, USA. Natalie’s research focuses on understanding biogeochemical dynamics in freshwater ecosystems, including streams, reservoirs, and wetlands. She received her PhD in Biological Sciences from the University of Notre Dame and her BSc in Zoology and Physiology from the University of Toronto. She has been a member of SFS for 20 years, and has served on multiple committees, including the Student Resources Committee, the Early Career Development Committee, and the Financial Committee, and served as a Co-Chair of the 2023 Freshwater Sciences Conference (Brisbane, Australia). She is currently the Vice President of SFS.
